Sharing my Journey with Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a condition in which tissue similar to that which normally lines the uterus (endometrium) grows outside of the uterus, most often attaching to the ovaries, fallopian tubes, intestines, & other pelvic structures.

Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women.

Common signs and symptoms of endometriosis include painful periods, excessive or irregular bleeding, pelvic pain, severe cramping, back pain, bloating, and infertility.

Despite how common endometriosis is, there is usually a significant delay in diagnosis – it often takes years to identify and treat.
